Approach

Chalk Memorial, also called Polskeoch Bothy, stands beside the Southern Upland Way in the Polskeoch forest section. Follow the waymarked route and current forest signs; timber work can change subsidiary roads and junctions. Dumfries and Galloway Council's Ranger Service maintains the shelter. There is no booking system, so carry camping equipment in case it is full or temporarily unusable.
