History

Shiel of Castlemaddy was once an open shelter in Galloway Forest Park. The MBA stopped maintaining it in 2010 after repeated vandalism and vehicle misuse. The Forestry Commission demolished the building in 2011. Nothing remains that can be used as a bothy.
