Approach

Culsharg is beside the standard Merrick path from the Bruce's Stone car park at Loch Trool. Follow the signed Merrick Trail above Buchan Burn and through the forest. The roofed shell appears beside the path before the climb to Benyellary. It is a derelict house, not a maintained bothy, and its open interior provides only limited emergency cover. Do not plan to sleep here.
