Attadale Estate bothy. Three sleeping rooms, wood-burning stove. Flush toilet (pipes may freeze in winter). ~5 miles from Strathcarron.
Use the walkers' car park at the entrance to Attadale Estate beside the A890. Follow the estate road through Attadale and then the rough vehicle track east over a pass of about 350m to Bendronaig Lodge. The bothy is roughly 13km from the road. A mountain bike shortens the approach, but the steep hairpins and rough surface require pushing in places. The estate maintains the shelter and states that it is open throughout the year. It has a wood-burning stove and a flush toilet supplied from the burn, although the water system can freeze in winter.

The open bothy occupies a former estate cottage beside the shooting lodge, about 9km east of the public road in a straight line. Attadale Estate later restored the cottage and installed the stove and water-fed toilet. The estate remains in the Macpherson family and continues to maintain the shelter.
