Ruantallain

Approach

Ruantallain is on Jura's west coast, north of Loch Tarbert, with no road approach. Routes from the head of Loch Tarbert or from the island's northern road end cross long stretches of pathless, wet and exposed ground. Sea access needs an appropriate boat or kayak and settled conditions. The estate is managed for stalking, and one room may be retained for estate use. Obtain current permission and access advice from Ruantallain Estate before relying on the shelter.
